Josh Bolinger: Launching an agency investment firm mashup: CoLauncher
I’m going in a very different direction, now. I’m at a point in my life where I can be a little choosy about where I put my energies, about how I can make the best possible kind of changes to the world around me. In my travels and my work, I’ve met a lot of people who want to really have an impact, and they are looking for projects to support. At the same time, I’ve encountered a lot of really amazing people with fantastic ideas. So I think it’s time to get everyone at the same table, and see if we can’t shake things up a little bit.
With that in mind, Im launching a new firm called CoLauncher to focus on helping startups and nonprofits. We’ll have a yearly incubator program to invest in and coach really promising early stage startups. The incubator will be backed by a full team of designers, developers, writers and marketing. We’ll also open up the team for hire at startup rates for startups that dont make it into the incubator or who are already funded.
To really round it out, all our available resources will be spent helping nonprofits make a bigger impact and extend their reach.
Im excited to see what we do in our first year as we blaze this trail.
